Yes, there is a technical brief that was released when FileMaker 8 was released and it is titled Upgrading to FileMaker 8: Migration Foundations and Methodologies. You can download a copy by visiting .... (click here) and the discussion starts around page 112 and continues until page 128.

Sorry about the delay in posting to my FileMaker Relationships Explored blog. A couple months ago, one of the google robots mistakenly identified this as a possible spam blog. Google has what they call a review process and I’ve submitted my blog for review over 6 times thus far. However, I can never get them to actually review the blog. The internet is full of similar reports from bloggers and google continues to be evasive about doing anything about it.
